There are areas you will be visiting that have far less protection than
usual.
I would purchase a true storm anchor , for heavy water in open area.
a 60# High Test Danforth , 20 ft of 1/2 chain and 300 ft of 5/8 nylon,
should keep you out of trouble.
A float for the anchor crown , both to let other boaters "see" your gear
, and as a recovery method , should the anchor get stuck under a rock is
recommended.
A Herrishof or similar 60# folding ( they don't hold well so need to be
heavy in normal weather , not storms) would be good for the tide swept
very rocky areas.
Sometimes only a grapnel or Herrishof will grab.
Dockage is about $2.00 ft / night so proper anchoring gear is nice.
