TWL: Volvo TAMD40/Regulator/Alternator

    I suspect your wiring would be the same as I encountered on my TMD31A when I
    installed a marinized Delco alternator regulated by a Heart 3 stage. The brown
    wire from the regulator goes to the D+ wire coming from the instrument panel.
    Brown is "Regulator On" and it gets its power from the instruments when the
    key is turned to the run position.
