To me, a 90 year old man or lady having a few real years of boating
experience behind him is safer than 90% of the weekenders I encounter, who
have no idea what they're doing when it's time to anchor or dock in a lock.
If I had to choose, I'd take the "ancestor", anytime!
In any case, I respect anybody from any generation, even the morons, trying
to "do" something, instead of watching TV or spending the afternoon in the
mall.
