I have noticed white smoke and slick on water coming from my exhaust
after engines have warmed up. I suspect it is time to service the
    injectors.

    twin Ford Lehman 120
    year built 1978
2500 engine hours (I'm not sure if the former owner ever serviced the
    injectors)

    1. Can anyone advise the proper way to remove these injectors including
any tips and the proper sequence required. Do you need any special
    tools?

    2. Do all injectors need to be rebuilt or is there a way to just clean
    them and re-install?

    3. Where is the best (and least costly) place to send them to be
rebuilt. (boat is presently in southern California) Could they be sent
to a truck shop versus a marine shop to save money?

I have never pulled any diesel injectors but have an average mechanical
ability so any info you can send will be helpful.

    Thanks for your help
    ,
    Fred
