Hello, all. I am a recent addition to this list, following the suggestion
of Arild Jensen. I have been following the various threads for a couple of
weeks now, and I am impressed by the knowledge so many of you seem to have.
I have a question to pose, but first, some very short background.

I have a 65 32 Pacemaker Sedan Express, single plank mahogany over ash
frames, running twin 283 C.I. gas inboards. While she is not a trawler as
such, she does run at comparable speeds cruise is around 14 - 16 knots at
2,600 RPM - so I appreciate the obvious benefits of enjoying a relatively
sedate cruise. While I would love to enjoy the range that diesels provide,
I can get nearly 12 hours on a single tank of fuel, and cant afford the
cost of re-powering. We live in Toronto, and use her mainly in the Trent
Canal system that links Lake Ontario with Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. The
wheels are protected by a full-length keel on a soft chined hull, and the
original design is reported to be a Chesapeake Bay coastal fishing boat. We
call her Taids Inn that sounds like Tides In Taid being Welsh for
Grandfather. The last survey reported that She is in very good condition,
    considering her age.

I have been trying to determine the history of the boat for a couple of
years ago, and would like to find original schematics as I am in the process
of completely re-wiring both the 12V and 110V systems. I do know that the
Pacemaker factory was in southern New Jersey, and that Pacemaker went out of
business in the late 1970s, but I understand that some of the original
family members are now with Ocean Yachts. I have had no success with
Ocean their responses have been curt, to say the least and I have not
been able to find an owners association or any alternate source.

I would appreciate any suggestions any of you have that would help me
document the history of the boat.

    Thanks.
