    Bob,

Ours is a older (1996) Sears Model 625.347030, however Sears does list two
Kenmore "Undersink Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems" on line. I also
found several with a "google" search. It appears that they are all made by
    the same company.

These units are designed to start with city or well water and clean it up
from there. We originally purchased our system when we had well water and
were very satisfied with the results. Now that we installed the unit on the
boat, we are using whatever potable water happens to come out of the
marina's tap. The main advantanges are that you do get good drinkable water
without buying bottled water and it does work on a 25-40 psi system without
the need for a booster pump.
