I've been having some satellite communications problems with E-mails when we are in port. It's allways to the last E-mail address we use. Today it happen to be this list. I had a tech on board at tha time and we were looking for the gremlin and I thank we found him or her. Our sattellite system is connected to a shipboard PABX system, our Mac is connected to a ISDN interface connected to the satellite transceiver. We found that the PABX controler has a modem built in to it. So we thank that if the unit detect a dial tone and there is no satellite link it will call, but we don't no why. Does that make any sense.
But for right now we are watching the weather, I don't want to be in port in SC if this if this thing hits.
