I have never had fuel related problem, nor I have fuel polishing system,
    but ...
I had rear oportunity to take close look into the tank insight, when I
changed fuel tanks on my GB42. Old ones was 30 years old and needed to
be cut to remove. The botom was covered by ugly, black mess right to
the take-off valve height, and I just imagine what would happen in
moderate seas (not even rough!), when the mess would stear up and find
    its way to the engines.

From then on, I am positive on fuel polishing sistem. I already bought
pump, tubing and valves, not yet filters and gauge. I plan to install
"off-line" system, i.e. one which circulates fuel directly back to
tanks, and I will not modify existing fuel suply system on engines,
which seams to work just fine.
