I was particularly furious while painting a sailboat mast while tied at a
dock in a small creek. It was posted no-wake speed but many yoyos,
especially on a weekend, just didn't care. This despite an extra homemade
sign on the boat "Painting aloft, zero wake PLEASE".
I can tell you that the effect at the top of an 85 foot mast is
considerably amplifed, requiring grabbing the wet mast like your long lost
boyfriend and hanging on until it settles. The rocking that is. :o)
I got fairly good at seeing one coming and managing to spill some paint
drops in the right direction and early enough to land on their boat as they
passed if they maintained speed.
