In actual fact, even without an amplifier, just using a high efficiency
antenna you will exceed allowable levels at the minimum power output the
equipment can achieve. If you pick up too many cells, the phone company can
block you out or cancel your account to stop interference on their system.
Only use a high efficiency antenna and/or an auxiliary amplifer when well
off shore.
