    Reply:
    The major application for the plexiglass covers in our situation has been
    protection from flying debris while in harbor during a hurricane. The
    largest seas we've ever encountered were about 35 feet during hurricane
    Andrew but we were 150 miles from land and putting up the shutteres didn't
    even occur to me.
