    Yes, there is extra plumbing, but it is very simple. You break into the
    feed and return lines and put a sensor in line as well as pulsation
    dampers. Easily done. As far as having to "know your fuel flow", you must
    have a very different model than anything else I've heard of. To calibrate
    the models I'm familiar with, you track actual fuel used vs reported fuel
    used, in gallons, for the first couple tank fills. You don't have to use
    all your fuel, or calculate the burn rate. Just start with filled tanks,
    burn a couple hundred gallons and refill the tanks. You just adjust the
    gauge for the percentage difference between the reported amount and actual
    amount. On our first boat it was less than 10%. On Maqana, I don't know
    yet, not done. I would much rather have a gauge that allows me to correct
    minor inaccuracies in the mechanical metering devices than to give me a
    number as an absolute, which is wrong.
