This caused a random synapse to fire.
Some time ago I was looking into dehumidifiers for a non-boat project and discovered that
there are about a zillion of them on Ebay. That check was in the middle of winter so I
just checked again and there are still a zillion available. For comparison, the one
referenced on CampingWorld is priced at US$359.00 or so while Ebay lists new ones for
under $200, factory rebuilds for under $100, and private party units (presumably used) for
under $50. If you aren't sure about how well such a thing will work on your particular
boat then a $50 experiment would seem to make more sense than a $350 one.
Just a thought from the Pacific Northwest where atmospheric moisture is normally in the
form of rain.
