Superb post, as usual Arild.
Just one question of your questioners.....unless one needs perfect
synchronisation ( and for us single engine sailors who cares?)
surely ball park accuracy is near enough. I know how "Stirling" feels at her
various cruising revs, and I cant see any advantage in knowing to the
nearest revolution just how fast the Volvo is turning.
Or am I missing something??
