Being a refrigeration/air conditioning repairman is a good bet for several
reasons:
demand can be forecast by location & season; training is available via a
variety of sources;
land based air conditioning units require much the same skillset & tools;
owners with AC may have the dollars but no tools or knowhow. According to a man
actually living this way in St. Martin, the biggest edge will come from having
superior sources of parts for very fast( repeat very fast) delivery. The
drawbacks are schedules, health problems, and dealing with hot owners.
