(SNIP) I'd like to know if, and how, you use the GPS anchor drag option.
    What is
    the proper radius to use?

Usually your GPS will indicate in hundredths of a nautical mile so using
6072 feet as a base you calculate how much you can afford to move or
swing before it becomes a problem. I always set mine in places like
Nantucket where I definitely want to get up for the tide change to make
sure the anchor resets. A remote speaker in the aft cabin is helpful if
the alarm in your GPS isn't loud enough to wake you.

                                       Regards.....
