TWL: Exhaust Temperature

    Mel,

    If what you want to do is monitor your exhaust elbow temp., I built one for
    about $15.00.
    I used a Therm-o-disc from Grangers. Cost about $9. Clamped it to the
    exhaust elbow with a large hose clamp, $4. Wired it in parallel to the low
    oil pressure alarm. $2 for wire and ties??
    If you lose raw water you can bet that the exhaust elbow will heat up
    quickly, close the Therm-o-disc and set off the alarm. If alarm sounds and
    the gage says oil pressure is OK then it must be the elbow over heating.
