The option which we choose was to use the ShipModul MiniPlex-41USB. This is
a NMEA multiplexor with USB PC interface. Specs are available at
http://www.shipmodul.com/en/miniplex-41usb.html. We bought ours from Capt.
    Jack (http://www.capjack.com/).

We went this route a couple reasons. First it solved our somewhat complex
NMEA buss multiplexing problems and secondly it meant we didn't need to add
additional serial ports to the nav computer. It was easy to install, and so
    far, it was performed great.

No financial interest in either company. Just a happy user.

    list server mangles it.)
