REPLY:
Take the broken one to a good local machine shop and have a new
one made. Ask around at the local auto supply stores or marinas
for the best shop. If it's like a lot of the alternator brackets on our
older boats, it's not "stock" anyway. More likely the original
alternator has been replaced with a new modern one necessitating
a different bracket to accommodate it.
