Who the Carrier was is not the issue--a blanket statement that Insurance
Companies will not pay claims unless "made to" simply makes no sense and is
inaccurate. I'm not saying that they are our friends--it's still an
adversarial system. But Insurance companies do not gain from resisting valid
claims, especially in states such as Florida where by Statute the Insured can
recover Attorney's Fees in the event he prevails in litigation against the
carrier on matters of coverage.
