"Often I would take a skiff out and ask them if they were going to put out a
second anchor, remove the canvas etc--invariabley the answer was "Heck No,
I have insurance--and many times those boats would be the ones on the beach
at the end of the storm"
Take someone with you as a witness and bring a note pad to write down their
reg. number. Tell them you will report their comments to their insurance
company. Watch them either leave or put out extra ground tackle. Defend your
property.
