Yea, I've only used them on SS screws, don't know if they were 304 or
316, but bet they were 304. Before I try to extract them, I take a
phillips bit (or slot, as the case may be) and whack them with a hammer
to help loosen up the screw, and clean out the mating surface. I use the
drill on high torque/low speed setting, and really lean on it, barely
engaging the power so it goes very slowly. After the screw breaks loose,
you can speed up. Some folks use a manual brace and bit, if you have
one. They are still for sale, but a bit hard to find.
