Dave-

As I write this the crew of the super servant 3 is welding supports to the
deck for my 50' powercat in Vancouver. It's a little unnerving to hear the
work going on under the hull but so far so good. I also have a 32' power
cat on board and will ride with the boats to Port Everglades, sailing at
noon tomorrow.

In a few weeks I can give you a better idea of how they do.

I am thinking of using the marine transport service operated by Dockwise
Yacht transport to move my Krogen 42 to the east coast to spend a year
boating from Florida to Canada and back. Does anyone have any experience
with this service (or any others) and does anyone have any sugesstions? I
really dont want to take the boat on its own bottom, been there, done that,
etc.

I read an article in the Vancouver Sun about new routes including Vancouver
for the transport service and the article said it costs only $8500 to ship a
40 ft sailboat from Vancourver to Florida. This seemed pretty reasonable,
but I have not confirmed the price with the company yet. Any thoughts from
anyone would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dave G
