Hello All,
The antennas described in the article are amplified television antennas.
The Coast Guard release described interference of the TV antennas with
adjacent GPS receivers. However, I agree totally with the probable EW
effects around capital naval ships. Denying GPS signals to the guidance
system is one of the many techniques in the navy's bag of ecm tricks.
