A couple of months ago there was a thread about getting 24 volts from a 12
volt supply. The easiest method was to use a 12 to 24 v. relay that lets a
pair of batteries charge in parallel, but switches them to a series
connection when needed. Another technique was to do essentially the same
thing with a few judiciously connected light bulbs. Either method will be
easier, cheaper, and more reliable than using a 24 v. charger. I assume, of
course, that you have 12 v. available for the main battery bank.
