Subject: TWL: Tow Job or Salvage?

Here is an interesting conundrum for all you winter-bound sea lawyers:an
interesting article in January issue of Power & Motoryacht regarding a Sea Ray
hitting a reef at the Hillsboro Inlet. The tow company towed the vessel and
hit the owner's insurance company with an $82,000 salvage claim even though
the boat was afloat and not hung up on the reef. Normal tow or salvage? As
always, we let the members decide.
