Subject: TWL: Re: Accidental mixing of gasoline in diesel
From: Martin I Veiner (veiner@XXX.XXX)

About 4.5 gallons of gasoline were added to the diesel tank of my wife's
car, which has a total capacity of 26 gallons.
What damage could be done by driving with this mixture, which I calculate
is about 17 percent of the total?
From anyone with similar experience, what is the "safe" level of dilution
for the gas/diesel mix? There must be some point at which the mix has to
be removed. Will the mix pass thru the fuel filters?
The car seems to be running as usual, and there are no symptoms from the
contamination.
