Jim, Use the laydown Ant & tie it to the Dynaplate. You are gaining nothing by
isolating the Lightning rod to the Dynaplate. Tie all the bonds & grounds
together at a convienent point & then to the plate. If U think U can 2nd
guess how lightning will travel thru the boat, when hit, your in trouble. On
the water, with the boat wet, & adding static elec. issues, it is impossible.
Best system is still a single point bond. As to the ant. height, if it make U
feel better, raise it when U want to use it or permantly lay it back, so that
it is lower than your "cone". The effect on the ant., as it is a vertical,
