Just goes to show that some people like the look of teak decks, others
don't. It's that simple. If you like the look of wood, you should be aware
of the fact that the older ones fastened with screws will eventually start
to leak and need to be refastened. Newer boats with teak decks use a
different mechanism for fastening them to the underlying fiberglass and
probably never will leak.

I wouldn't trade the look of my teak decks for anything, even though I've
had to refasten them all. Not a big deal if caught before the core gets
soaked and starts to rot; a bigger deal if not caught in time. Still, I
wouldn't trade for "plastic" decks for anything.
