BTW: Noyo River(Ft. Bragg), Chetco River (Brookings), Quillieutte River (La
Push) and Depoe Bay are all surrounded to some extent by rock land mass and
when subjected to wave action, especially swell perpendicular to the rocks,
the sea state near these entrances can become quite "boistrous".
They also have another common characteristic, in that they are all quite
shallow, 5-8 feet.
