TWL: Diesel fueled tender?

Subject: TWL: Diesel fueled tender?

Greetings,

While looking for something else I came across the following:

http://www.2si.com/460_mf_spec.htm

http://www.2si.com/460mf_engine_JETPUMP_spec.htm

This is for a lightweight, spark ignited, multi-fuel capable engine for marine
application. [That second link shows the engine combined with a jet pump]

If I read the information correctly the engine produces 37 HP on diesel fuel and has been
approved by the military as part of something called the "One Fuel Forward Initiative"
which seeks to eliminate gasoline from front-line use.

Since we've had multiple threads on TWL that, in one way or another bemoan the need to
carry gasoline on board I thought this might be of interest here.

The engine alone weighs 78.5 lbs; weight for the jet-pump isn't listed.

They also make brief mention that Sealine Yachts is considering this power-plant for a
tender to be used on their boats, however there isn't any mention of this on Sealine's
site.

Non-Flammably yours,

Alex
