Hi Rex,
Other possibilities for your situation would be the Dahl 500 series filter separator, the
RCI MFP-800-BE, or the RCI FP-1000-P.
The Dahl 500 handles 30GPM continuous. Advantages are that you can get 2 micron elements
for it; Elements can be ordered (and MAY be in stock) at any Baldwin filter distributor;
Sump capacity is 11 Gallons. Disadvantages are that you may be required to buy elements by
the case (4 elements/case) in order to get the best price; footprint/wallprint are larger
(height = 47" + 10" for element removal, width = 28.5" depth = 22"). Unfortunately the
Dahl webpage: http://www.baldwinfilter.com/products/dahl.html doesn't seem to say anything
about this model. If you're still living in Fall City you can get more info from Shultz
Distributing in Seattle or from Covich & Williams in Ballard.
The RCI MFP-800-BE handles 15GPM while the FP-1000-P handles 40GPM. Advantages are that
there is no element to change which not only reduces cost but also makes for a more
compact installation; I believe that either of these models takes up less space than the
Separ. Disadvantages are that this process is slightly less efficient than a true
filter/separator (95% vs. 99%) More information about RCI can be found at:
http://www.rcipurifier.com/index.html .
Water sensors are available for each of these units.
Alternatively yours,
Alex
