Want to install snap davits on Achilles inflatable and swim platform of MT 36
sundeck trawler. Top of swim platform is 16" above water. Instructions from
Weaver say to cement pads with lower edge on upper edge of rub strip. Since
tube diameter is 15.5", this will bring yoke about 10 inches above water.
This difference between yoke height and davit height will be exacerbated when
dinghy has people/engine aboard. Weaver recommends "offset" davits @ $75 extra
per davit. How have listees solved this problem? Bob Siegel
