Speed to Length ratio.

If you're interested in such things, you need not go back to school or pound
through lots of really technical books.

Get a copy of Dave Gerr's book, "The Nature of Boats". It is simply the
best thing out there for both casual and serious folks who are interested in
how books work.

If you read the book you'll easily learn everything you need to know about
S/L, D/L, SA/D and a lot of other good stuff. This book is one of those
rare volumes that engineering types can really enjoy, the political science
major might enjoy even more, and the high school drop out can understand
too.

In fact, I believe that anyone who owns a boat should have a copy.
