It is interesting to note that in Europe - boats having twin engines -built
as canal cruisers - ranging in size from 30 something feet upwards - often
have their engines set much more closely together than here in the US .

I did not notice any offset to the rudders on such boats observed in my
always enjoyable tour of various boatyards -- Then again I doubt if I would
have noticed such an offset -- hummm, next year I might carry a tape measure
.

     Or one of the TWL European lurkers might respond with more information
..
