The best product I've found for hull stains is Barkeeper's Friend. It's
readily available at any supermarket next to Bon Ami or Ajax Cleanser. It
contains oxalic acid and will not damage your gel coat as the abrasive is
non-existent in it. It even takes care of red wine stains on gel coat, and
those little black specks that appear in the creases of your textured areas.
It's cheap and efficient, and if it were marketed as a marine product it
would no doubt cost $8.95 a can, possibly more. In the supermarket it's more
than 80% off that price!
