Another viable alternative is to use a 32V to 12V DC- DC converter.
These are available from Analytic Systems in BC or from Newmar who
sell them house branded as Newmar products.
Same thing just a different label ( possibly also price)

A small 12V AGM battery located up under the bridge console and fed
from this converter provides stable filtered power for all the
electronics. Even for short duration in the event of the 32V supply
failing.

This is a common approach used n commercial ships and even Coast Guard
life boats.
