I have a Hatteras with a 32v electrical system. I am thinking that I can
add a 12v alternator to one of my engines (DD871N). There is enough room in
either engine room. I am not going to change the house and starting
batteries (4 8Ds) for each engine.
I am thinking of doing this to have a dedicated 12v system for electronics.
I use a 12v system on my 15kw generator. I think I will also have to add an
additional charger.
Does anyone have advice on this?
