My monochrome Furuno 7" display is tucked in a cabinet on the flybridge about
three ft forward of the helm. I have no trouble clearly seeing
displays,targets,etc, howver I have bimini top up all the time.
With sun directly on the face of my monochrome Chartplotter (separate device)
on the f/b, which is more in the open, it is tough to see, but I saw
literature recommending monochrome, not color(?).
