Furuno recommends 10" displays for boats over 35'. Would a 7"

While not necessarily the case in all matters, usually bigger is better and
with radar displays this is especially true. A larger radar display will
enable you to easier distinguish between targets at the longer ranges as
well as provide a display that can be discerned at greater distances from
the screen. I would imagine that the reccomendation of the smaller
displays on smaller boats is made in strict consideration of space
availability. I would not scrimp here to save a few bucks.
