Subject: TWL: Temp Gauges Died, Pegged Hot

I was having my sender for the temp alarm replaced and my overly industrious
mechanic decided to check the gauge sender as well. I believe he
disconnected the sender lead and grounded it against the engine block (DD
4-71). Both gauges (PH and FB, they are wired in series) are now pegged out
of sight on the hot side.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what happened? None of the experts seem to
know.
BTW, the MARY KATHRYN leaves the Chesapeake for Abaco on Saturday. Golf
partners welcome at Bald Head Island and Hilton Head.
