Subject: TWL: Winter Storage

I was at Home Depot the other day and saw some rubber pipe caps with a clamp
included in the plumbing
department. I thought this would be great for sealing my exhaust pipes for
the winter.

Unsolicited advice, so take it for what it is worth (I have been there and
done that).
Hang a long red streamer firmly attached to any such plugs, caps and such.
Kind of like the "remove before flight" streamers we use for caps and covers
on airplanes. Makes 'em easy to spot later.
A checklist may not be a bad thing either. Write it down when you cap it or
turn it off. Then use that as a reverse checklist when you recommission in
the spring.
Happy winter folks. Of course here in Texas, we are bracing for a severe
winter. We have scheduled it for say . . . Jan 27, 28, 29. I have already
bought a windbreaker and a package of hot chocolate. <grin>
Sorry . . . could not resist!

Daniel Meyer
