Jerry,
   Are you talking about the outside decks? You mention C-tol, and very few
people use that product on decks. It makes them hot and slippery. You will
likely get differing opinions here on what to do, but most will agree on
what not to do. Do not use any commercial teak cleaning product. These tend
to eat up the soft part of the wood, leaving an uneaven surface. Do not use
a stiff brush....for the same reason.

   Most will agree that a simple salt water wash down is all you need. Check
the archives, there was a recent discussion on oil spills on deck. Sun,
time, and salt water removed these stains pretty well.

Our surveyor advised a once a year wash with 5 gallons of hot water, one cup
of Wisk, and one cut of Clorox bleach. He was adament about using those
brand names. Use a very soft brush.
