Hi Wayne,

What you say about Kort Nozzles is true but there's a similar technology
available now that addresses the higher drag issue. "Speed Nozzles" give
somewhat less improvement in bollard pull than Kort's but they also give
more speed for a given amount of power than either Kort's or ordinary open
propellers

These things seem to becoming all the rage for fishing vessels above 60 or
70 feet but I think that the smallest unit that's presently available is
sized for the Karvi 47 (It looks like about 36" in diameter).
