Off hand I could think of one case where you would not know of a problem.
There is, probabily, on you engine a short hose between the output of the
"heat exchanger" and the mixer elbow just before the exhaust hose. If this
hose should come loose/come off/break/etc you would not know it until
until you smelled smoke from burning rubber, noticed that you were going
slower because your boat is filled up with water, or (think up a few things
yourself). ...Not likely to happen, but then you asked...

BTW, is that "Aqualarm" made of "Plastic" If so, do you really want
plastic in that water line? (the answer to this question might depend on
how you use the boat, how often you inspect the bilge, where you cruise,
etc )..jd
