Nothing really bad, except that they're not the panacea some would
believe. While they can run dry, which is a solution to one problem,
they will still come apart and break up just like the regular impellers.
My point in the earlier post was that they're fine to use, but don't
expect them to last twice as long and never cause a problem. If I used
them, I would change them at the same intervals and just count the "run
dry" feature as some added insurance.
