The problem with this pipe dream is that you can never let the wood dry out
enough to do this right. It is easy to do in new construction, but even a
boat hauled out for 12 months has a surprising amount of moisture in the
planks. Epoxy doesn't stick well to wet wood, and the encapsulated moisture
will breed decay.
Most really old wood boats have lasted over 100 years because they have been
left alone in their natural state. Well taken care of, wood can survive a
very long time. Look at some back issuees ow WoodenBoat and you will see the
150 year old 'Elly' a scandinavian lapstrake former fishboat, original
except for her rig and still going strong.

What is the general concensus about taking a solid wood boat and letting it
dry out then filling with epoxy filler and sheathing?
Hever any more wood/water contact.
