Garrett,

I couldn't agree more with the information posted , especially Bob's
suggestion. Dust particles can be a real pain. I use wax cups that I get
with the Honey Teak and I only fill the cup with as much finish is I am
going to apply -- any left over is discarded with the cup.

I believe Mel also mentioned a tack cloth after sanding and a good Badger
brush. I also use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum up the dust particles and wash
with alcohol to minimize dust particles prior to applying the finsih. I
think if I had one of those compressors you mentioned, I would use it as
well. A good tack cloth is essential.

There is a book that provides excellent step-by-step instructions on
finishing brightwork. The book, "Brightwork: The Art of Finishing Wood" by
Rebecca J. Wittman is worth the purchase price for the pictures alone.
Wittman assumes that the reader knows nothing about varnish and starts at
the beginning. I got the book from Amazon.

Good luck,

Al
