Subject: TWL: Datamarine - Belly UP?

Having a boat equipped with a Datamarine "DART4" system, which includes
speed, depth, temp and timer combined into one unit and having just had the
depth finder fail due to a suspected faulty transducer I now learn that
Datamarine is supposedly out of business. The repair tech that I contacted
states that he is unable to locate a new depth transducer for this system
and has recommended that I replace the entire unit.
This of course leaves me searching for a replacement. So far units that I
am considering are Ray Marine, either the ST60 TriData or the ST40 BiData.
Another unit to consider would be the Std. Horizon Multidata, which is
considerably cheaper than the Ray Marine units.
Any experience with any of these units would be appreciated.
