Subject: TWL: (Not-so-) Bright Work
From: Garrett Lambert (e16@XXX.XXX)

First, let me get it out of the way and say I don't like having to do
painting of any kind, and my workmanship is poor. I'm not sure which is
cause and which is effect.
In any event, I have the opposite problem the recent Cetol thread. I've
made an extension flagstaff and after varnishing it, instead of
pinholes, have what looks like dust particles. To further magnify this
incompetence, the PO's varnish work is glass perfect.
I'm working at home in a clean environment, but using an old bristle
brush, whereas he left a few of the foam brushes aboard. What do you
use?
Cheers, Garrett
